To access your account:
  • Click here on VIEW OUR CATALOGUE or on the VIEW OUR CATALOGUE button in the website header
  • Find the Login to your account box to the right of the page
  • Card number or user name is your first name.last name in lower case eg.  james.cowan
  • Password is your last name in lower case eg. cowan
  • Click the green Log in button
  • It is recommended that you change your password after initially logging in
  • If you are unable to log in, contact the library at 250-355-2355 and leave a message, or email slocancommunitylibrary@gmail.com

When you’re logged in to your account you can:
  • See your current check outs in Your summary
  • Renew your items
  • Place a hold on an item that you want to take out
  • Look at your search and reading/viewing history
  • See your personal details
  • Change your password
  • Make purchase suggestions
  • Renew your membership with an e-transfer to slocancommunitylibrary@gmail.com

To renew a item:
  • Sign in to your account
  • Your summary will list all the books checked out to you.
  • To the right, in the “Renew” column, you can check the item/s you want to renew
  • Click on the “Renew Selected” button at the bottom of the list
  • If you want to renew all checked out items, you can skip the prior step and simply click on the “Renew All” button
  • The item/s will show a message (“Renewed!”) and inform you how many renewals you have left

Placing a Hold:
  • Sign in to your account
  • Search the Catalogue for the book you want to place a hold on
  • Choose the correct selection
  • Click on “Place hold” under the item name
  • The next screen will ask you to confirm the hold; do so
  • You will be taken to your Summary page. Here you can cancel the hold if you change your mind
